In the past several years, USAA has continuously pushed lobbyists to get substantial insurance premium increases.  They also aggressively pursue "preferred providers" that do not have the consumer's best interest in mind.  These rationales of 2 parties in cahoots together does not serve the public trust.  Speak with your mortgage lenders before securing property insurance as they are knowledgeable about what you should be paying and their interest in your property is to see that damages and unfortunate situations are well taken care of.  That is not something USAA or their contracted preferred...
