We belong to Blue Cross-Blue Shield HMO of Illinois. My husband is a public school teacher, so our insurance is through his district (ergo, through the state). One would think that, given how underpaid teachers are, at least our health care would be ok. Not so!
We signed up with the recommended clinic (and the one that is closest to where we live). Because there are four-six doctors (depending on the time of year) that we can see, we figured it would be a good choice. We consistently make appointments well in advance only to show up 10 minutes early and then WAIT for up to 45 minutes...
