The sansa sandisk line is agood entry level MP3 player for the price range it competes in .i personally like the bar the goes around the on button., and think it makes it a little more inutitive to operate.

It was the first MP3 I ever owned, so I admit to being a bit sentimental to it. Unless you are also heading for cellphones capabilities, MP3 are getting to be a commodity product. This give you radio, pictures., music apps. The 2 gig sizeis really the major drawback as the files are sonewhat large and you will hit the wall fairly quick.
