I tried the two cheapest Tempurpedic mattresses at the mattress store, which were very expensive. The original PacBed of nine inch thickness is the one I pruchased. You won't need the Original Plus unless you weigh more than 250 pounds, according to Bedinabox. Also, I just put the mattress on top of plywood that I put on top of the old box springs. You have to have a level surface to not void your warranty. Don't waste any money on a foundation that's not needed. The mattress is truly awesome, and the customer service is great. The bed went down in price about four days after I purchased it. I called Bedinabox for a refund on the difference, which they credited promptly. You can't lose with the 120 day free trial.
