My husband got this product for Christmas last year and upon the very first use burned his hand because it didn't block the heat! I have used it myself and found the same results. I was very disappointed. Now we have a rather expensive glove that basically is used to unscrew the tops off of jars- that seems to be the only thing it is good for. I wouldn't suggest anyone trying to use this glove for gripping hot pots or pans because you will be in danger of a burn or of dropping a pot of hot food- and that is probably the most danger to pets and children!
