I used to own the none-portable Bose iPod Docking Station however this one doesn't have volume control problems and is very convienent.  I bring this Docking Station in the bathroom with me when every time I shower and bathe the kids; I haven't had one problem with the unit regardless of the steam.  I also bring it by the pool with the kids all the time and it projects great sound for us!  I've had this unit for about a year and half and the non-portable unit for the same time period-I feel it's worth it to spend the extra money for this unit.  One of my children bought it for me as a...
