I like Twitter, but I've found over the months that I've been a member, I'd rather read your updates than obligate myself to updating my own tweets.
If I'm going to find time to socialize online, I'm going to plant my rearend at the computer and write something of substance. Not that regular Tweeters continually blurb "I'm having pork chops for dinner" and "oh, a really weird looking car just went by". Some folks have the Twitter essentials down to a science, and with 140 words or less pass on a whole lot of pertinent/interesting information in a single tweet.
