I've owned this coffee maker for a year now and still absolutely love it.  It's easy & quick and does not create a mess.  It's perfect for my household of just me & my fiancee.  However, I would not' throw out the old coffee pot just yet.  It does become a hassle when guests come over.  I have to stand there making coffee for everyone one at a time.  In these cases, I find it's easier to just take out the old coffee maker and make a large pot.  Also much cheaper if you need to make coffee for a large group.
