Of course, most of read Horton as a child growing up. This movie gives an added spin on the characters by giving the citizens of Whoville personalities characteristic of today's 21st century child. The mayor had quite a few daughters, and they were were adorable pictured as girls who enjoyed similar activities as my grandchildren do today. But, I loved the character of the son who felt left out or misunderstood and who would isolate to develop and create "his music". That was so enlightening for today. Dr. Seuss' movie is current and a movie the family can enjoy together.
