    Some friends recently invited me to play chess online with them at gameknot.com.  At first I was less-than-enthusiastic,  but I've really enjoyed playing online, and it turns out to be a good way to stay in touch.  

    I wouldn't say that gameknot is cutting edge technology, but everything works as its supposed to, and most functionality is available without clicking off the main game page.   Games are played over several days; an email notifies you that your opponent has made a move.

    They have some good teaching materials, and a puzzle of the day.  Its easy to pick-up a game, and so far everyone...     review »
