ODU was founded as a division of William & Mary in 1930. It is a good school that is getting even better. Their academic programs and reputation have improved significantly over the last decade or more. The campus is more urban and quite modern, so you don't have many cobblestone streets or old architecture etc. ODU has nationally respected programs in science, technology and medicine including partnerships with EVMS.
