I have had a game cube since around 2002. I think the game cube would make a great starter console for the little one. The games cube offers lots of very cute games for the younger kids that even I enjoyed playing. I have a little cousin that was three years old when he picked up the game cube. The game cube is also very durable. I have had other console by other companies that did not hold up as well as the game cube.
