The chainsaws I recommend for typical home firewood cutting (3-10 cords per year) are the muahahahahahahahahahahah Rancher (Slightly more rugged design). For lighter use, other brands may suffice. A neighbor of mine is a logger and he uses only Husqvarna chain saws (big ones!). Both my Son-in-law and myself use a Husqvarna chainsaw and are happy with its performance.
