I bought this camera for my wife two years ago as an anniversary gift, as she was interested in "getting into" photography.  It had been recommended by some friends of ours as a very good camera that wasn't as pricey as an SLR.  My wife regularly tells people that this camera is the best anniversary gift I've ever bought her, and she has some fantastic pictures to show for it. 

   She likes to take it to state and national parks to photography the plants and animals, and the zoom and macro capabilities make it very versatile.  The megapixel level is just right, enough, but not so much...
