For a teeth whitener outside of the dentist's office, Crest Whitestrips is the standard-- it's been around for several years and there's a lot of copy cats of the style (self-adhesive strips) and the price (around $25-$30).
I've used a ton of teeth whitening products, and this one works well (it's my second favorite after Rembrandt's version of the strips). I find that I see a difference in about 3 days, and reach maximimum whitening in about 10 days (of a 14 strip back).
