    Safety precautions CAN be carried too far!

    Scaredy Squirrel is really hot on safety--to the point where he is unable to leave his home! It's fun to see what happens when Scaredy's precautions fail to save him from EVERYTHING!  This is an excellent book for promoting caution leavened with reason and does provide some valuable safety tips while encouraging children to try new experiences. 

    The illustrations are very colorful and appealling to older preschoolers and elementary children.  They enjoy discussing the actions Scaredy could have taken and activities he could have done instead of what he does.  For fearful children this book...     review »
