Panasonic - TH-42PX6U Flat Panel HD Television

Great picture but background hum

This is my first big screen tv - MUCH larger than my previous tv's screen - in fact larger than what I was looking for, but this was at a good price. The picture is great - sharp, and colors are good. The only negative is that (I assume due to the size) it has a discernable constant electronic hum. I keep hoping I'll get used to this, as the tv sound overrides it, but depending on the show I can sometimes hear it and I've had it for eight months, so I haven't gotten used to it. On the positive side, when I got it home and had a glitch with the hookup for cable, I called the Panasonic help... review »
