Water for Elephants is well written, descriptive and poignant. It details the life history and feelings of the main character as he comes of age, his life as a circus worker and the life he was forced to live as he aged. The perception between past and present was enlightening and entertaining. It puts first person light on aging, nursing homes and losing control over the way you want to live your life.
