I had to read this book for a children's literature class in college and I loved it! When I was teaching Bible to 5th graders a couple of years later, one of them posed the question "if we can be evil, why does God give us choices?". I read this book to them and we discussed how life would be if everything we did was the same and we were not given any kind of choices. There would have to be the absence of love. I did have to skip over a couple of parts for the sake of keeping the kids from getting giggly (bath dream, etc). It has mature moments in it, so I would not recommend it to young...review »
