I opened a new account with Fidelity. On 3 successive days I tried to purchase a municipal bond. Twice, I was told the sale was done, only to be told at the end of the day it did not go through. Never heard of such a thing, especially after having been give a confirmation number for the sale, and assured that it was completed.
If you wish to purchase a bond outside of their inventory, which is limited, go elsewhere.
