    Whenever I am considering a technology purchase of any sort, I go to CNET to do my research.  Great forums.  Even if you are not tech-savvy, there are great articles that break it down for you in easy to understand terms.  Not only do you get their recommendations, but you also can see actual consumer reviews of the products.  Many tips and tricks, free downloads, information searchable on just about any tech item you can possibly think of.  I highly recommend this site.
