Western Digital WDXMS1200 Passport Portable Hard Drive

Portable, chic and easy to use!

budget-conscious, comfortable with technology, obsessive about back-ups

I bought mine after I started to run out of hard drive space on my small 60 gig internal drive on my Mac Book (too many music files!) My friend uses one for transporting files back and forth between his work computer and his laptop at home, as he is a graphic designer and needs gigs upon gigs of storage for his projects everyday. I bought the 160 gig red version, which not only looks very nice sitting next to my Mac, but is incredibly portable.

The transfer rates are not lightning fast, but fast enough to put gigs of media files on it in minutes. The USB cable is only about 6 or 7 inches long,... read full review »
