I spent more time cleaning the litter from the track that the self cleaning mechanism rolled down then I would have cleaning the litter box my self. I had three cats at the time of use, each with their own peculiar potty habit. One likes to stand on the edge of the box and was frieghtened by the mechanism. Two who like to dig to china in the litter which then clogged up the track. Ultimately, the latter is what led to the dismise of the Littermaid Self-cleaning Litter box.
