7 years ago, I weighed 233 pounds. I didn't eat anymore than the average thin person, in fact, I ate a lot less. I was diagnosed by my doctor with metabolic syndrome and polycystic ovaries. I was pre-diabetic and on 2 blood pressure pills and my blood pressure was still high. My step-father was losing weight on the atkins diet and gave me the book to read.
