Even though the iMac is much easier to use than a PC, and it is definitely a luxury in many ways, it has been a great frustration.  Maybe I got a lemon.  From day one the fan on my computer has blown loud, very loud, like the computer is about to blow up!  Customer service has been awful.  We've had it serviced twice, and not living near an Apple store, we have to drive over an hour.  We've replaced two hard drives, and were told by Apple that that isn't unusual.  The rep told me "hard drives are like tires".  Well, when I spend 1700 on a computer I'm expecting that the thing will work for...
