Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in

Lost is one of those shows that was tailor-made for DVD release. The plot is much too dense and twisty to try to catch up on later - you're either in from the beginning, or you're not going to get much out of it. The ideal mode for watching this show is sitting down with the whole season box and gourging on it at your DVD player.

Partially this is because of how maddening it can be to watch the show week-to-week. Dangling plot threads can feel v e r y s t r e t c h e d o u t when you're trying to watch it for an hour a week, because it will sometimes take several episodes... review »
