Gateway offers wonderful products and customer service.  I have had mine for 4 years at college and never had any problems with them. Even the Sims and 2 expansion packs loaded on it is still running smoothly and fast.  They have great customer service! I once accidentally un-installed a videa driver and the customer support person was on the phone with me for 3 hours helping me figure out what happened and giving me instructions on how to fix it.  They even offered to send a tech person out for free. Go with Gateway...forget dell.  my parents have been through 2 dell's in the time I've had...
