I'd been a customer of MBNA for more than a decade, so when they switched to Bank of America, I got caught along with that. I've been unhappy with this company for quite some time now. I do carry a balance--out of necessity--and am finally after three years of paying interest, fees, etc., getting a handle on that debt. However, every step of the way, Bank of America has treated me poorly. First of all, the fee for going overlimit is $39. that's very high. The fee for paying late--even one day--is also $39.
