I decided it was time to upgrade from my 12" powerbook G4 to a the black MacBook. I seriously considered the MacBook Pro, but when it is all said and done, I think the MacBook can do it all also and for less money, also, I like to keep my laptops fairly compact and low cost since I like to travel.

My advice, get a MacBook with the superdrive so that you can also back-up to DVD disks. Also keeps the door open to make movies and put them on DVD ready to play on a home DVD player! Also, with the included iDVD software it is easy to learn how to make a slide show with your photos.
