My younger sister is addicted to Secret Life, so if you're 19 or younger and like soap opera'ish, terribly written, melodramatic fluff, you might like this show.

If you're like me, though, and want to be watching well-written, intelligent shows, steer clear of Secret Life of the American Teenager.  I love Molly Ringwald and Josie Bissett, but they've totally knocked themselves out of credible acting by being on this show.

It's not the premise, not the plots (though many are so implausible and ridiculous, it could be argued), not even totally the acting.  It's the god-awful writing!  Characters...
