    I bought a Hoover Nanolite at Walmart( $49.99) since my old dirt devil died. I wanted something light so could carry it upstairs but that would clean wood floors( most of my floors) and area rugs. It really works great. Picks up easily as much dirt as the previous big heavy model  I had. The bagless cup is large enough for a few uses before it needs emptied. Picks up the cat hair from my solid dark green sofa with the uphostery tool. only the uphostery brush and crevice tools for tools but that is all i really ever use. the hose could be a little longer since it would be hard to get into some... read full review »
