I purchased my Dyson vacuum after reading a review by a television actress that I trusted and I have never been sorry.  It is a little pricier than some but so worth it.  I don't have to purchase bags for it and it is extremely easy to empty the dirt which is visible through the see through container.  The attachment is right there if I want to convert to another cleaning tool for corners or whatever.  One slide of a button and I can convert to hardwood floors.  I have enjoyed it so much that we purchased another Dyson for downstairs and I would really like to purchase the roller ball version...
