When selecting our first dog, my husband and I knew that we wanted to have a miniature dachshund.  Both of us had grown up with them and they are so sweet and cuddly.  I like lap dogs but am very timid around large dogs so this was a great option for us.

We picked out our sweet Daisy from the litter and she has been so loyal ever since.  She loves to cuddle and be as close to you as she can get.  When I had our first child last December I was very worried she would feel pushed aside but she loves her brother so much.  She protects him and now they play together.
