I used drive a 1996, 4 cylinder, manual transmission, Ford Ranger and then went to 2009 Toyota Tacoma (Access Cab, 4x4, auto trans, with the SE package) and didn't look back.  The access cab provides plenty of storage space and the two seats in the back are comfortable enough for short rides.  The drivers seat is very comfortable and with V-6 engines has plenty of get and go.  Gas mileage is around 20 mpg (and that is is with V-6, 4x4 and automatic transmistion).  The pack up camera in the rear view mirror is great feature, especially if you do alot of backing up or parallel parking.  Can...
