No I have never seen the original Melrose Place but this one is great. They have told a few back stories to help with the characters that are now on the show which helps you to follow along. While to my husband it seems a little to much like a soap opera it appeals to me. first episode a murder and you are having to watch the series to figyre out who the killer is but with each knew episode you change your mind on who ould have done it. The fact that they put Shley Simpson in as a main character threw me off at first but this girl can act. I figures she would bomb out and after the first few shows...
