    Moulin Rouge is one of my favourites.  Very "tongue in cheek" and laughed at itself the whole way through.  Loved it.  This isn't a serious movie so don't expect historical relevance or period accuracy.  It's purely a fantasy escapist piece and it does the job extremely well.  Far better than I expected the first time I saw it.
