Cloverfield

deserves no stars at all

a movie buff, sci-fi fan, comedy fan

The only time the Cloverfield filming style worked was in The Blair Witch Project and only then because it was more or less new. BJP also did a better job of telling the story they were trying to tell.

I hate reality shows and this was nothing more than a reality show to me. The makers of the movie wanted to make the movie seem real. It proves what everyone should know by now

real people are boring
real people are stupid and do stupid things

If I wanted reality, I would not be at a movie or watch TV. I would be hanging out at a dull party with real boring and stupid people.
