I stayed at Main Street Station with a friend. We paid $40 a night for Friday and Saturday before Christmas and got Sunday free.

   Check-in was a breeze, and they even gave us a higher-floor room when we asked. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds weren't too fancy, but we slept well in them. The bathroom was a bit small.

   For gamblers, the casino has lots of full-pay video-poker machines and decent blackjack rules. You get a scratch card for extra cash with every four-of-a-kind you hit. It's usually $2, but every little bit helps.
