Ok, so i spent $2600 for a washer and a dryer, and you can judge my sanity based on that. I am very happy with both, and do not hate doing laundry as much as i used to.

the washer and dryer on the pedestials take up a lot of room in my long and narrow laundry room. the room was built to accomodate the old style washer and dryer dimensions. these new ones take up much more floor space so there is less room now in front of the machines. it really is a big negative. makes my laundry room look poorly designed. I would want at least an other foot from back to front to make it look OK
