I have used many candles and love to have them burning all the time.  I have found Old Virginia Candles, not only the wood burning wick, but their votives and jar candles have the strongest, richest, scent.  They burn cleanly (no black smoke) and burn all the way to the bottom.  They are hard to find in stores, however, you can order them online, search for Old Virginia Candle Company.
