There is no question anymore about what temperature it is outside anymore. The husband likes the fact he can say the accurate temp instead of its hot or cold outside so I know whether to get a coat or not.(no more arguing) And the battery operated feature give us that extra support if the power goes out. We also are able to know if we are cold because of temp verses the humidity insde or outside. Dont know how we got by without this great invention!
