Terry Pratchett is famous for his humorous novels, specifically the discworld series. Neil Gaiman is famous for just being good, period. He's the one who brought us the Sandman comics, Mirrormask and Stardust movies, and so many award winning novels. These two British guys at the head of their field decided to take on the ultimate serious subject, the antichrist ending the world, and make it funny.
