I am a big fan of the Mario Kart empire. And Mario Kart Wii has not dissapointed at all. There are so many ways you can play- solo, solo and connected via wifi, with friends, with friends using your wii and connecting to wifi, or play with friends via wifi.

There are many tracks, and classic tracks also adding to the fun. The only Mario Kart game I have never played is DS, and I liked that the Wii let me preview two tracks from it.

There is no possible down side to this game- except the wheel. It is very hard for me to get used to, so I prefer to use a game cube controller or classic controller...
