Our dogs are toy poodles. I give the tablets after they have eaten a good sized meal of dog food. One of them doesn't care for the pill as much as the other so I put just a touch of peanut butter on hers so that she doesn't spit it out and the other dog would try to eat it. One of them vomits after she eats things that guests give her (without my permission) of their food because she is sensitive to some foods. I have to really watch her. The comfortis has not given her any problems.
