I purchased my kitchen aid mixer about 8 years ago.  Since I have purchased it I have had nothing but good things to say about it.  It is sturdy, beautiful, and extremely easy to operate.  The mixer is heavy but I leave it on my counter so that is not really an issue. 

My mixer came with a whisk, a dough hook and a paddle as well as a pouring shield which makes it easy to add flour etc. while the mixer is running.   Over the years I have added a couple of attachments including the grinder which is wonderful for making chopped meat.  I can buy lean cuts of chicken, turkey or beef and know...
