This toy taught my son how to put a ball in something (if that makes any sense). Once he figured out that when he put the balls in it makes noise, he started doing it over and over again. It teaches ABC's, 123's and simple spelling, but this is really beyond my son yet. The balls do end up all over the place and my son often uses the balls from other toys or simply his hand to make the toy go. Overall I would say that it is a good toy.
