Great coffee maker! No timer needed. Just pour in cold water and have a full pot in a few minutes. The tank is stainless steel so you don't get that "plastic" taste. The only downside I've found is to get the coffee that fast you're leaving the pot on all the time to keep the reservoir tank hot. So if you're going "green" that's probably not a good thing.

My husband leaves for work at 5AM, so the quickness is a plus for our family.
