Canon - PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera

As close to a DSLR for that you can get, great for beginners!

The Canon S2 IS is a wonderful entry level camera that can be handled by both beginners and pro's alike. I have used it indoors and outdoors and had great success. It has many wonderful features that allow you to navigate it like you know what you're doing. The 12x zoom is amazing and has allowed me to capture intimate details of birds flying in the air and stuff on top of skyscrapers from miles away. The hinged LCD is great and I personally love the macro zoom function which allows me to get within centimeters of an object and capture its finest details. Great camera!
