I purchased my Sony Vaio laptop in October of 2005 since I was at that time doing contract writing and editing. I needed to be able to have portability and wireless capability. At the time I also purchased a wireless router.  The system was very easy to set up, the computer worked extremely well, and except for a small problem with the sound card (which was covered under my warranty) the unit has worked fairly flawlessly ever since and I'm still using it 4 years later (almost unheard of with electronics like computers). Last year I did change out the hard drive due to a problem with overheating...
