I am not 100% sure what goes on a blog but here goes.. I an an avid bicyclist, love Bluegrass, Blues, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin and Johnny cash. I was born in Burnside, Kentucky and love my visits there, I sit on my Uncle Arvil Lee's front porch swing and become one with the peace of the Earth. I am also a old Hippie, have hair down to my thigh, refuse to dye or perm it. I wear it in braids and dance to a different drummer. Usually the one in my head that only I can hear. Love animals and currently have 3 rescued cats and a dog we saved from death row.

Both of my daughters have inherited my love of the Earth and also are involved in animal rescue. Cassandra my oldest daughter has a Welsh Corgi that has been trained to be a fur angel. He goes to hospitals, children's wards, nursing homes and generally brings joy to the residents. She also belongs to a rescue group that takes in abused animals, nurses them back to health then she chooses their new home by researchinfg their backgrounds. She has had some challenges especially the ones that come from the horrible,evil puppy mills. Those dogs are terrified of people, tremble when approached, need socialized. They need a lot of love and understanding. They also get the abused and tortured ones, and work with them until they trust humans again.

My youngest daughter rescues stray cats. She gets then de-wormed, spayed or nuters them, swears she will find them good homes but she currently has three.  All of them live in the house because it is too dangerouse for her babies to go outside.  She is a vocal advocate for sterilizing your animals and is involved in a program that is run in the City of Fairmont through their animal facilities.

Been married for 29 years to a policeman who about 10 years ago made Police Chief.
